Step 2: Preparing Your File

To ensure a flawless migration, please prepare your source file before handing it over.

Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts up to the date of migration

Clear out any duplicate or obsolete contacts if possible

Run and save a Trial Balance and Balance Sheet report for your records
4
Lock the accounting period so no new data is entered during the migration
Do not work in the source file while the migration is in progress (1-3 business days), as any new transactions will not be carried over to the new system.
